Gavin Newsom Promises Free Healthcare for Illegal Aliens

Unless California quickly pulls out of its political tailspin, quintessential moonbat Gavin Newsom will be the next Governor. Among the leftist policies that he plans to impose is universal healthcare, presumably along the lines of what failed in Vermont. Does this mean free healthcare for illegal aliens, millions of whom already live in California? It sure does, as Newsom confirmed Tuesday in a Pod Save America podcast:

“I did universal health care when I was mayor [of San Francisco], fully implemented, regardless of preexisting condition, ability to pay, and regardless of your immigration status,” Newsom said. “San Francisco is the only [city with a] universal health care plan for all undocumented residents in America, and I’m very proud of that, and we proved it can be done without bankrupting the city. I’d like to see if we can extend that to the rest of the state.”

San Francisco is the wealthiest metro area in the country. Pulling this off at the state level won’t be as easy.

Newsom’s promise means that every sick (or pregnant) poor person on Earth only needs to make it to California to receive the best healthcare in the world for free. Half the world population is dirt poor. As we already know from the ongoing tsunami of Third World immigration, getting here is doable.

Attempts to finance the unfinanceable will lead to an explosion in California’s already excessive tax rates. This will drive out businesses, quickly followed by the people those businesses employ. That’s when the Democrat Death Spiral sets in, as ever greater demands are placed on an ever-shrinking tax base.

California would stand a better chance of recovering from a Chinese nuclear attack than from rule by irresponsible leftists like Newsom.

Neighboring states and Texas are advised that it is not too soon to begin preparing for the influx of refugees.
