Large Percentage of College Freshmen Identify as Disabled

Reward something and you get more of it. What a liberal society rewards above all else is having something wrong with you. The unsurprising consequence is that about 20% of incoming college freshmen identify as disabled:

Jan Collins-Eaglin, the Claremont consortium’s associate dean of students for personal success and wellness, says that anxiety and stress are likely behind the increase in the number of “disabled” students.

Actually, what is behind it is moonbattery, as a result of which being “disabled” gives you an advantage over offensive able-bodied oppressors.

The disabilities largely consist of mental health and anxiety issues. Naturally those who identify as having them receive special privileges:

Some students who experience panic attacks received special accommodations during SAT exams. Some were offered special “distraction-free” environment. Others were offered additional time to complete the exam.

Declaring yourself to be disabled is easier than proclaiming that you identify with an allegedly oppressed racial minority. Also, if you graduate with a useless degree, your disability may earn you a lifetime of SSI benefits for doing nothing.
