Berkeley Students Run Their Own Courses in Moonbattery

University of California, Berkeley isn’t cheap. Out-of-state students have to shell out over $42,000 per year for tuition. But for that, they get to design their own courses in moonbattery:

This fall, University of California, Berkeley students can learn about “white comfort/coddling,” “decolonizing Palestine,” and making research less “isolating” for “marginalized” students.

The courses in question are offered through UC Berkeley’s DeCal program, which the university describes as “legitimate university courses run by students” that qualify for academic credit and can even fulfill graduation requirements.

No, the class covering “white comfort/coddling” is not about being nice to white people. That would be racist. Rather, the objective of the course is “to deconstruct and relearn whiteness through case studies, speakers, and intense, critical readings.”

You can imagine the case studies. Billy-Bob McCoy was a white person. He was born into privilege as the son of an auto mechanic in Jasper, Alabama. Let us list the reasons to hate him…

Questions DeCal classes promise to answer include:

“How does recentering what we see as violent and violence reposition who needs protection?”

Let me take a stab at the answer. Rape, robbery, murder, et cetera can’t be real violence, because these crimes are vastly more likely to be black on white than white on black. Therefore, we must recenter what we see as violence so as to pretend that imaginary microaggressions are violence, and real violence is social justice.

You will have to go to Berkeley to get an answer to this one:

“What is one way that the history of white people as inherently innocent, and their tradition as ‘natural’ and therefore good, [can] be disrupted?”

You could almost get the idea that these people are hostile to Caucasians and the civilization they created.

“Student-facilitated” moonbat circle-jerks that are passed off as actual classes are popular at Berkeley:

Each semester Berkeley offers over 150 student-facilitated courses, with between 3,000 and 4,000 enrolled students. The university describes these courses as “an excellent way of meeting the University’s minimum unit requirement.” …

The student instructor provides grade “recommendations” to the faculty sponsor at the end of the semester, who then awards “Pass/No Pass” grades to students.

In contrast to the $42,000 figure given above, in-state students pay $14,000 per year tuition at Berkeley. That is only the tip of the iceberg regarding how much taxpayer money is used to fund the pernicious farce that liberal arts education has become.
