Government Waste: $1.5 Million per Afghan Woman Helped

The Clintons have been driven off from the White House, yet the massive government waste continues:

The U.S. government has blown almost $90 million on a doomed project to help Afghan women enter the workforce with a big chunk of the money going to a Clinton-aligned “development” company that reaped big bucks from Uncle Sam while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state. The cash flows through the famously corrupt U.S. Agency of International Development (USAID), which is charged with providing global economic, development and humanitarian assistance. In this case USAID allocated $216 million to supposedly help tens of thousands of Afghan women get jobs and gain promotions over five years. Known as “Promoting Gender Equity in National Priority Programs,” the endeavor was launched in 2014 and tens of millions of dollars later it’s proven to be a major failure.

But that’s no reason to stop flushing money down it. The important thing is for bureauweenies to prove how much they care by devoting our money to futile social engineering projects in savage backwaters on the far side of the globe.

Good thing programs like this are notoriously corrupt. The more of the money ends up in the grubby claws of creatures like Bill & Hillary, the more of it will at least be spent in this country.

So far, the program has helped between zero and 60 women, according to a federal audit. Let’s take the most optimistic extreme and say it helped 60 women find jobs or get promoted. That comes to $1,500,000 per Afghan woman supposedly helped with the money spent so far.

We would enjoy a significantly higher standard of living if we stopped tolerating a government that arrogantly throws our money to the four winds.
