Hillary Clinton Weighs In on Farcical Kavanaugh Stall Tactics

Among the most crucial foundation stones of civilization are due process and the presumption of innocence. Without them, society dissolves into a feeding frenzy of baseless allegations, as happened in Salem during the witch trials, in France during the Reign of Terror, and in China during the Cultural Revolution, and as is beginning to happen in the USA thanks to the #MeToo craze. Do we really want to subject ourselves to a bloodbath where anyone can be destroyed at any time by anyone else with an unsubstantiated allegation like Christine Blasey Ford’s improbable claim that a teenage Brett Kavanaugh pawed her 30-odd years ago? Hillary Clinton does.

Other than being the worst major party presidential candidate in American history, Hillary is best known for being married to serial sexual abuser Bill Clinton, and for covering for his numberless sexual assaults by attacking his victims. Now that the accused sexual abuser is a decent man who is almost certainly totally innocent, she waves the #MeToo flag and howls for blood.

It may be too much even for Rachel Maddow, who asked,

Your husband when he was president faced allegations that were not the same as this, certainly, but had connections to these kinds of old allegations from years ago. And I know you had concerns at the time. Your husband certainly had concerns at the time that he never really had due process to defend himself from allegations like this. Have we learned anything over the years about due process not just for the accusers but also for the accused?

What Hillary learned is that due process is for her side, not for the other side. Kavanaugh’s confused accuser, who cannot even remember when or where the assault she most likely invented from whole cloth was supposed to have happened, deserves the “benefit of the doubt.”

No, Hillary. It is the accused who gets the benefit of the doubt. You flunk the sixth-grade civics test.

In this case, giving Ford the benefit of the doubt would mean pulling Kavanaugh’s nomination or stalling it long enough for Democrats to take back the Senate so that they could nix any Republican nominee, all on the word of a left-wing college professor who offers no evidence or even specifics as to time and place.

A dog and pony show of an investigation would be conducted that would drag on indefinitely like the Russian collusion farce in an impossible quest to prove Ford’s vague accusations. Everyone knows that no evidence would be uncovered against Kavanaugh. This doesn’t matter, because he would already have been denied his Supreme Court seat.

This amounts to execution first, trial later.

Meanwhile Mark Judge, the only witness to the crime according to Ford’s account, describes her allegations as “absolutely nuts.”

If Republicans play along with slimy Democrat stall tactics instead of laughing them off, they will only get more of them.
