Stealing the Social Security Numbers Americans Won’t Steal

If we like our Social Security numbers, we can keep our Social Security numbers — except when they have been stolen to sell to the millions of illegal aliens pouring across the open border:

The Immigration Reform Law Institute said that from 2012 to 2016 there were “39 million instances where names and Social Security numbers on W-2 tax forms did not match the corresponding Social Security records.”

That is because the numbers have been stolen and sold on the black market, mainly to illegal aliens.

Their report draws attention to a move by former President Barack Obama to stop sending so-called “no match” letters to employers notifying them that numbers used by employees on the wage forms do not match their identity.

The illegals use our Social Security numbers so that they can compete with Americans for low-wage jobs. Only recently, Democrats pretended to be the champions of Americans working low-wage jobs. But they have dropped that pose in favor of identity politics.

Being in our country illegally is a crime — and it is not a victimless crime. The border must be defended, and immigration law must be enforced. That’s what voters voted for in 2016. But for some reason the federal government never performs these fundamental duties, no matter how we cast our votes.
