Who to Blame for Serena Williams Tantrum?

When a Woman of Color who has been hyped by the liberal establishment for succeeding in a sport not dominated by blacks throws a tantrum, head for cover. Someone has to take the blame for the unprofessional behavior of Serena Williams, and it sure won’t be her.

A cartoonist who editorialized on her unsportsmanlike conduct got some of it:

A white cartoonist’s depiction of Serena Williams breaking her racket during the U.S. Open final — which led to one of the three controversial penalties she received before losing the match to Naomi Osaka — sparked widespread backlash on Monday. Author J.K. Rowling was one influential voice who weighed in on the polarizing illustration, calling the cartoon “racist” on Twitter.

The penalties were for receiving coaching during the match, calling the umpire a “thief” and a “liar,” and smashing her racket in a gesture that would be appropriate at age 2. The reason these penalties are supposedly “controversial” is that they were inflicted upon Williams, whose side political correctness requires us to take regardless of her behavior, as the CBS News piece linked above makes clear.

Mark Knight of the Melbourne Herald Sun is officially a thought criminal for drawing his apt but allegedly racist/sexist cartoon. He had to withdraw from Twitter due to abuse directed at his family.

But there is encouraging news; his paper appears to have the spine to stand by him rather than reflexively throwing him under the bus as we have come to expect.

Let’s see, who else can we blame for Williams’ meltdown? I know: the umpire.

But despite the moonbat mob howling for blood, some have the guts to defend Carlos Ramos too. His fellow umpires don’t want the same thing to happen to them:

There is an uneasy feeling amid tennis umpires after the WTA and USTA took Serena Williams’ side following her on-court feud with Ramos during Saturday’s US Open final. The Times of London reported that some umpires are considering boycotting Williams’ matches.

One umpire who discreetly remains anonymous says that Ramos was “thrown to the wolves for simply doing his job.”

According to retired umpire Richard Ings, umpires don’t like it that they were abandoned by the WTA, which appears to agree with Williams that Ramos is a sexist for not indulging her in her juvenile antics.

“They are all fearful that they could be the next Ramos. They feel that no one has their back when they have to make unpopular calls.”

Sure, you can make unpopular calls. You just can’t make them against Serena Williams, whom liberals worship for the same reason they worship Tiger Woods.

Political correctness comes first, everything else afterward. That’s why everything is going to hell, including sportsmanship.
