Why a Refugee Murdering a 13-Year-Old Girl Horrifies the Media

Correctly thinking progressives are horrified. One of the refugees they have been exploiting to alter the demographics of Canada has been charged with murdering a 13-year-old girl:

The man arrested and charged with the 2017 murder of Burnaby teen Marrisa Shen arrived in Canada as a refugee from Syria just months before she was killed, say police.

Ibrahim Ali, 28, was arrested without incident Friday in Burnaby, where he lives, and later charged with first-degree murder, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

Ali did not appear to know Shen, and Shen did not know Ali…

Here’s why the progs are clutching their pearls:

Members of B.C.’s Syrian community say they are concerned the announcement of Ibrahim Ali’s murder charge for the death of Marrisa Shen — and Ali’s status as a former refugee — could lead to unwarranted backlash.

Neither of the reports cited shows any interest in Marrisa. The focus is on pounding into the public’s head that this is an isolated incident and Syrian refugees are less likely to commit crimes than native Canadians. Far more tragic than a young girl’s murder is that the put-upon refugee community is frightened the backlash against Muslim colonists that we have been hearing about since 9/11/2001 will finally materialize. Next time we hear about someone snatching off a Muslima’s hijab (e.g., here, here, and here), it may not be a hate hoax!
