Confronting Sexual Assault in Turkey

As #MeToo mania hurtles out of control, no male is safe from allegations of an overactive libido — not even in faraway Turkey, and not even if they are children:

A court in the southern province of Antalya has handed down a prison sentence of four years and six months to a 16-year-old boy for kissing 13-year-old girl at school.

The charge was sexual assault.

A schoolmate took video of the two hugging and kissing right on school property and shared it with friends. For this she was charged with “using children in the production of inappropriate images” and the four kids she sent it to were charged with “sharing inappropriate images in which children were used.”

A court acquitted everybody except the 16-year-old boy, who will be a hardened criminal before he gets out of prison. If his girlfriend visits him, I hope he doesn’t carry on like Billy Hayes in Midnight Express or there could be further charges.

Just think what they would do to Kavanaugh if they had video evidence of wrongdoing.
