De Blasio Multiplies Marijuana Moonbattery

Recreational marijuana is likely to be legal soon in New York State. Characteristically, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio sees this as an opportunity to redistributed other people’s wealth.

Listen as he denounces economic freedom once again:

“Let’s be real about the free-enterprise system — the capital is concentrated in very few hands and that’s wrong.”

No worries; de Blasio et al. will solve the problem by confiscating some of that capital and using it to finance new businesses enabled by the social decay they promote. Specifically, he is going to use taxpayer money to pay preferred persons to deaden your brain by selling you pot.

Buried in a report issued by his administration last week is the following:

“A fund of at least $10 million supporting equity entrants to the field will be needed to make real the promise of equitable access to the burgeoning industry.”

“Equity entrants” means minorities from slums.

De Blasio wants to stick it to capitalists by not allowing big businesses to sell pot. Evidently, that privilege will be reserved for the same sort of people our tax dollars have been used to arrest and incarcerate for the same activity.

Selling or even possessing marijuana is a violation of federal law. But as sanctuary cities demonstrate so vividly, federal law only applies when local liberals agree with it. The Supremacy Clause can be ignored because there is no will to enforce it.

That’s how things go when a country starts falling apart.
