Defeating Tomophobia

Tomophobia is the fear of medical procedures. Unlike homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia, et cetera, it is actually bad for you, because it can prevent you from dealing with issues when they are still easy to deal with. Bill Whittle is right that it is better to die from a terminal illness than to die of a terminal illness that you could have prevented.

A car’s timing belt issues make a solid metaphor for emerging health problems, which in turn make just as good a metaphor for what moonbattery is doing to the USA.

Don’t wait until the melanoma metastasizes before doing whatever you can to get rid of it. The situation won’t get any less grave because we ignored it. Time is not on our side.
