It Takes a Village — Or Are You Still the Parent?

“It takes a village to raise a child,” bark the moonbats. This is a euphemistic way of saying that it is the government’s child, not yours. For a practical application of the principle, consider the case of Anmarie Calgaro. Officials in St Louis County, Minnesota decided — contrary to her wishes — that her son should “transition” into a make-believe girl.

Calgaro is suing because social engineers provided her son not only with the pro-transsexual brainwashing we have come to expect at public schools but with treatments reminiscent of the Island of Doctor Moreau.

Her son is of age now but was 15 when they started transforming him into a she-male. The school blocked her access to his health records. In addition to hormone treatments, they allegedly gave him narcotics.

Thomas More Society Special Counsel Erick Kaardal sums up the case:

“Calgaro’s child, while a minor, was steered through a life-changing, permanent body altering process, becoming a pawn in someone else’s sociopolitical agenda and being influenced by those who have no legal or moral right to usurp the role of a parent.”

Or do depraved educrats have that right? It will be up to the Supreme Court to decide — if they choose to take the case. Previously, the Supremes decided that the federal government has the right to force states to regard perverted sexual liaisons as holy matrimony. But we can always hope for the best.
