The Epstein saga is gaining momentum as 30 plus victims of child / sex trafficking, represented by ambulance chaser Gloria Allred, make the bold attempt to seize the estate of ‘deadman walking’ Epstein, of whom cannot be tried in a court of law, let alone via absentia.
In 1993, the Supreme Court revisited Rule 43 in the case of Crosby v. United States.[28] The Court unanimously held, in an opinion written by Justice Harry Blackmun, that Rule 43 does not permit the trial in absentia of a defendant who is absent at the beginning of trial.
For those that have the expertise and have opined on three possible scenarios, (1) he hanged himself with a sheet, (2) someone entered his cell and choked him to death, and (3) Epstein was rendition-ed and is alive……the latter two are considered professional opinions discounting the first.
Two days before the [suicide] Epstein signed his ‘Will’ and his lawyers quickly filed the ‘Will’ in the Virgin Islands. Over $570 million dollars of real estate (6 properties) were mainly signed over to a “Trust.”
Now….here’s the oddity in all this !
No property (so far) has been seized by the government, except for computers. Everything seems to be in limbo and ‘Criminal Forfeiture’ could be out the window, except for (maybe) a Civil Forfeiture of which….the Gloria Allred filings against the estate could be the wrench in the millions of dollars hanging in the tree for the winner to claim.
“Criminal forfeiture is the type of asset forfeiture that is brought by the Government during a prosecution in criminal court. To pursue criminal forfeiture, prosecutors charge a person with a crime and add an additional count to include forfeiture of any property 1) used to commit that crime or 2) any property that is the proceeds of that crime.
However, criminal forfeiture may 1) only proceed after the person is found guilty or pleads guilty, and 2) it is limited to the property tied to the specific count(s) of conviction. If the person is found not guilty, prosecutors are barred from pursuing criminal forfeiture on any property associated with allegedly committing or profiting from that count.
Criminal forfeiture is litigated in the criminal courts and are part of a criminal prosecution. Civil Asset Forfeiture is litigated in civil court and can parallel a criminal prosecution or it can be litigated in the absence of a criminal prosecution. Criminal forfeitures take place at the end of a criminal case and must be linked to a “count of conviction”. On the contrary, Civil Asset Forfeiture does not require any arrest, any charges, any prosecution, or any conviction whatsoever.”

Because the United States does NOT recognize prosecution of a dead man (after the fact) a criminal forfeiture is out the window ! How convenient if Epstein and his lawyers planned it this way…..
There is discussion of the “Dead Man Switch” whereas, a criminal has extremely powerful information on some of the most highest profile people in the world (in this case) and the criminal [Epstein] say’s, “you convict me or kill me, I will authorize my attorney’s to release everything,” which is why the rendition theory is entirely creditable, Epstein is alive.
The amount of intel / information Epstein acquired over the years, and being the alleged CIA / Mossad operative he was (or is) could be enough to destroy relations with Israel and maybe he U.K. while at the same time, take-down many top leaders around the world.
Those that have influence and deep connections with Mossad, MI-6 and the CIA, i.e., Bill and Hillary Clinton, or Prince Andrew [The Duke of York] and 2nd son of Queen Elizabeth, the pressure for appeasing Epstein to NOT activate the “Dead Man Switch” is apparently a reality.
Therefore…..an elaborate hoax [plan] was initiated and the media were complicit or just stupid.
From what (we) can expect to happen, is the good old “fig leaf’ offered by Epstein (or Mossad) is the prosecution of a selected few and Epstein’s estate will be in limbo for years to come.

“Epstein Did Not Act Alone”: In Tuesday Hearing, Prosecutors And Attorneys Target Co-Conspirators
Update2: All said and done, Tuesday’s hearing revealed that Epstein’s attorneys are skeptical of the official determination that he committed suicide, and asked Judge Berman to oversee an investigation into the 66-year-old’s death.
Meanwhile, a separate group of FBI agents and prosecutors are doing the same.
As noted below, prosecutors made clear that a dismissal against Epstein does not mean the investigation into co-conspirators will end, nor will it prevent the US Government from pursuing assets via civil forfeiture.
Berman took no action on the motion to dismiss. According to Bloomberg, he may do it in writing, or he may take time to think it over since some of the victims’ lawyers asked him to keep the record open.
Wild called Epstein a “coward” during the hearing to formally dismiss the case against the dead pedophile.
“I feel very angry and sad and justice has never been served in this case,” she added.
US District Judge Richard Berman said that Epstein’s August 10 suicide was a “stunning turn of events,” and that accusers should be heard during today’s hearing “because of their relevant experiences.”
Up to 30 women were expected to address the court, along with prosecutors and Epstein’s lawyers. Lawyer Brad Williams, who represents dozens of accusers, said that 15 women he represents will testify on Tuesday, while another 20 declined – ”some out of fear of public exposure, others because the way in which this case ended will never bring full justice and they decided it was best for them not to talk today.”
Another accuser, who did not disclose her name, told Judge Richard Berman on Tuesday “It didn’t feel good to wake up that morning and hear he allegedly committed suicide.”
“I still feel like I’m learning the ways he’s impacted me,” that woman said.
A third woman, who also did not give her name, said ”“I think that many of us will never heal from what happened to us.”
“As destructive as that relationship was and as much of a villian as we’ve created him to be, based on facts, we’ve created him to be a villian, but he’s a complex villian.” -CNBC
“Jeffrey Epstein sexually abused me for years,” according to accuser Courtney Wild, who told a US District Court in Manhattan on Tuesday that Epstein’s death – ruled a suicide – “robbed myself and all the other victims of our day in court.”

According to the prosecutor, the dismissal against Epstein “in no way” hinders their investigation into other co-conspirators - or the prosecution of new defendants. Furthermore, the government may explore “the possibility of seeking civil forfeiture of any assets that would facilitate the crimes charged in this indictment.”
The prosecutor added that there are teams of FBI agents and other investigators probing Epstein’s death at the Manhattan Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), and that there is an active and ongoing grand jury investigation into what happened.
Of note, attorney David Boies - who represents Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, said “Epstein did not act alone,” adding “He could not have done what he did, on such scope and scale, for as many years as he did, without a number of other key individuals. Those individuals need to bear their share of responsibility and have their reckoning as well.”
Epstein attorney Martin Weinberg noted that Judge Berman has the authority to go to the ninth floor of the MCC where Epstein was housed and witness how pretrial defendants are housed, according to Bloomberg legal reporter Chris Dolmetsch.
