Why Devonta Allen Isn’t Racist

These days schoolkids are taught that the worst thing conceivable is to be racist. They are also taught that “People of color cannot be racist because they lack the institutional power to adversely affect white lives.” That means 18-year-old Devonta Allen is off the hook for racism:

Police say Allen was caught on video chasing after the four people on Tyne Avenue on July 25. He’s accused of firing three shots at the victims, hitting two different vehicles the victims were in. No one was hit.

According to court papers, he can be heard saying “I don’t like white people in my hood” on the video right before firing the shots.

The incident occurred in Cincinnati, which takes its name from the great sub-Saharan African patrician, statesman, and military leader Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus. He personified the great works that flourished during the Golden Age of Congolese civilization, so when persons of color ventured to America and built a large city where there had been only wilderness, they named it in his honor. Or at least, that’s what kids will be learning in school before long.

If only Allen were white and ran around shooting at random blacks. He could be the most famous person in the country right now. But dog bites man stories of blacks with low impulse control driven to violence by the endless demonization of whites don’t get a lot of traction in the news.
