Biden’s Betrayal of SEAL Team 6

We could have rested our case against Joe Biden as a candidate for any public office back in 2013. That’s when this article appeared in the Washington Times, detailing Biden’s willingness to sell out SEAL Team 6 while politically exploiting Obama’s belated willingness to let the SEALs take out Osama bin Laden.

The Obama administration … sought to claim full credit for the assassination, deciding to spike the football. On May 3 [2011], at an event in Washington, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. did the unthinkable: He publicly revealed the identity of the special-operations unit responsible for bin Laden’s killing.

The SEALs were well aware that this put them and potentially their loved ones in the crosshairs — as was Biden, unless he really is as pathologically dumb as some say.

Karen Vaughn, the mother of slain SEAL Aaron Vaughn, says that within hours after Mr. Biden’s comments, her son called to tell her to wipe away every piece of information regarding the family on social media, Facebook and Twitter. “I never heard Aaron that afraid in his life,” Mrs. Vaughn said in an interview. “He told me: ‘Mom, we’re picking up chatter. We’re not safe. You’re not safe. Delete everything.’”

The following August 6, by some remarkable coincidence, 15 SEAL Team 6 members were killed when a Chinook was shot down in Afghanistan under circumstances that have led some to believe they were set up, possibly by Taliban infiltrators.

Biden marked these heroes for death, and soon they were killed. But the Obama/Biden team got reelected the next year; that’s the important thing, as Harry Reid would say.

Setting aside politics, what mature person would vote to place someone of Biden’s caliber in any position of responsibility, much less to make him Commander in Chief?
