Californication and Internal Migration

As moonbattery plunges California deeper into dystopia, ever more people will escape to other states. Some fear that this diaspora will inflict Californication on the rest of the country. But Californian Dave Morrison argues that people who go to the trouble of leaving their state to escape leftism and its consequences have a good reason to avoid bringing the leftism with them. California’s cultural pollution is spread through the media, not internal migration.

“The problem is not the physical migration of people out of California. The problem is the ubiquity of progressive culture in the age of mass communication.”

He’s worth hearing out:

In support of Morrison’s argument, left-wing punk Robert Francis O’Rourke, running on a platform of sheer moonbattery and largely bankrolled by Hollyweird, beat Ted Cruz for a Senate seat among voters who were born in Texas. This is probably due to Texan-born voters being too young to have outgrown liberal politics; a lot of the older voters are from places like California, where they got a bellyful of Beto-style BS. From the Dallas Morning News:

A CNN exit poll showed that O’Rourke beat Cruz among native Texans, 51 percent to 48 percent. In contrast, 57 percent of people who had moved to Texas said they voted for Cruz, compared to 42 percent who voted for O’Rourke.

CNN is admittedly a dubious source of information, but it still remains possible that ex-Californians saved Texas from Betomania.

Personally, I can attest that since leaving New York for Arizona 13 years ago to get away from the moonbattery, I have never felt tempted to vote for a Democrat.

A more likely effect of internal migration than Californication is that liberal-controlled states like California and New York will become ever more radical as the sane people leave, while the rest of the country moves in the opposite direction.
