Fire Company Shut Down for Failing to Purge Thought Criminal

The tolerance of the liberal establishment has reached such an extreme that an entire volunteer fire company in Pennsylvania was shut down because a volunteer named Bruce McClay Jr had been in contact with a patriotic social club regarded by the media as “far right,” the Proud Boys.

Via the Philadelphia Enquirer:

Haverford Township said Wednesday that one of its five fire companies [the Bon Air Fire Company] had been “relieved of duty indefinitely” after officials were told by the organization that it would not dismiss a volunteer who admitted he had been in the process of joining the controversial far-right men’s group the Proud Boys. …

According to the township, the volunteer admitted to officials in mid-August that he had attended “several social gatherings” for the Proud Boys and passed two of the four steps in the initiation process, including hazing.

The Proud Boys are a “hate group” because they are pro-Western and refuse “to apologize for creating the modern world.” This stance is now regarded as beyond the pale, as it counters the spirit of Cultural Marxism.

McClay tried to resign, but the other volunteers at Bon Air were American enough not to accept his resignation. Therefore, the whole company is guilty of wrongthink and must be erased before the infection spreads — even if it means other fire companies getting spread thin so that people’s houses burn down.

Try not to choke on this hypocrisy:

“The volunteer’s participation in an organization described as an extremist group and the Bon Air Fire Company’s failure to address this matter conflicts with the public policy of Haverford Township, which includes ensuring that all persons are treated fairly and equally, and that all persons enjoy the full benefits of citizenship,” the township manager said in his statement.

It used to be that freedom of thought and of association were among the benefits of American citizenship. But that was before the Establishment became woke.

Too bad for McClay he wasn’t involved with Antifa instead of the Proud Boys. Then he would be treated fairly and equally.

Within a couple of years, turning the station TV to Fox News will be enough to get a fire company shut down.
