Why Are Climate Doom Rallies So White?

The media could come up with no legitimate grounds to criticize the Tea Party, so it denounced the rallies for being comprised overwhelmingly of whites, as if that somehow invalidated them. Current global warming rallies also consist mainly of whites, even if they are very different whites. The media no longer regards this as a problem. Nordic Greta Thunberg is as holy to journalists as Trayvon Martin.

Why all the white faces at the climate doom rallies? David Marcus offers an explanation:

For white progressives, climate change is a unique issue in which racial guilt plays little to no role. Other issues such as police brutality, income inequality, and even women’s rights and access to abortion are steeped in what they perceive as the racist foundation of our country. On these issues, white protesters in the post-Occupy age feel they bear no small amount of collective guilt. But on climate change, for once, they can be the victim, not just the ally.

Victims are revered as holy in the liberal religion. Aside from patently absurd climate justice balderdash, blacks get no special reverence in the global warming denomination. Saint Greta gets to be just as put-upon as they are. So they stay home.

A few may even realize that the global warming hoax will hurt nonwhites more than whites:

[C]heap energy has done more to lift people all across the globe out of poverty than anything in human history. The clamp-down on carbon that these privileged college kids insist upon will do more to secure their economic dominance than anything a white supremacist could come up with in his mother’s basement. They want to slam the brakes on economic progress while they are on top. After all, once some future Democrat in the White House forgives their student debt, they’ll have plenty of money to pay $10 a gallon for gas.

There could be another explanation, based on a fundamental difference between white and nonwhite leftists. White leftists are infected with suicidal altruism, which compels them to reflexively take the side of the “other.” Like animal rights fanaticism, radical environmentalism takes this to the last extreme, allowing them to side against not merely their own race or their own country but against their own species.

This has no appeal for nonwhite leftists, who engage in moonbattery not out of projected self-hatred but because they expect to get benefits and privileges out of it.
