The guy is an idiot. Jesus obviously would have not been wealthy and would have rejected the idea of some men being extremely well off while others did without, but the wise men bearing gifts didn’t show up within the year after his birth just to say hello, no doubt God sent them there with enough wealth to sustain his ministry. His earthly adopted father was also a working man.
The notion that he was impoverished was absurd. He could have had anything He wanted at the snap of fingers, He was just not into temporal materialism.
He was no more a refugee than a modern preacher who travels around the world in lear jets. He died not far from where He was born.
He apparently did not live a nomadic life, much of his ministry occurred close to home. He was also a rabbi, which means he had a connection to a temple and a specific religious group.
