A French prosecutor is investigating a 16 yr old girl for “hate speech” after she said “Islam is a religion of hate”

A 16-year-old high school student received death and rape threats after she posted a video in which she made insulting remarks about Islam. She filed a complaint. Mila is also under investigation for “inciting racial hatred”.

Mila is a 16-year-old teenager from Isère, France. She has been threatened with death and rape from young Muslims on social media after she posted a video in which she describes Islam as a “religion of hatred.” She filed a complaint and the Vienna (a French town) public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation.

On January 19, Mila, who wants to become a singer, was having a conversation with her fans on her Instagram account. According to her statements, a young Muslim started harassing her. She turned him away. He then told Mila, who claimed to be gay, “you dirty dyke”.

Mila replied by saying Islam is a “hate religion”. She added: “I hate all religions”.

Since then, Mila has received numerous death threats and rape threats.

Some Internet users, who recognized her, doxed her, published her name, address and the address of her school. The case took such proportions that the teenager filed a complaint and had to drop out of school for safety reason.

On Twitter, people wrote: “Islam is a religion of love, and they will hurt you for saying it’s not.”

An investigation against Mila for “inciting racial hatred”

The Vienna public prosecutor has opened an investigation into “death threats” and cybercrime. Regarding Mila’s remarks, he also opened an investigation for “incitement to racial hatred”. But, according to the initial evidence gathered, “For the time being, the girl cannot be accused of racism,” a source close to the case told the public radio station France Bleu Isère.

Mila apologized in a tweet: “I apologize, I didn’t mean to offend anyone. I spoke too quickly. Error is human.”

She probably shouldn’t have apologized, but in France, the courts intentionally mix religion and race to condemn any attack on Islam in order to silence any criticism – the Sharia law is applied without saying so.

The case has caused some political figures like Marine Le Pen (Rassemblement National or National Gathering) to react.

“This girl’s comments are an oral description of Charlie’s cartoons, no more, no less. We may find it vulgar, but we can’t accept that, for that, some people condemn her to death in France in the 21st century,” the president of the National Gathering tweeted.
