Political consultant Douglas MacKinnon calls the show to explain his recent article for The Hill, “Is a Trap Being Set for Trump in the Senate Trial?” MacKinnon has spoken to several Capitol Hill staffers who say there are a lot of closed door meetings occurring between Republican senators on Capitol Hill. A good number of them still do not like President Trump for being a disruptor. So, will 20 of the 53 Republicans in the Senate vote for impeachment so they can have somebody who is “part of the club” lead from the White House instead?
