Outlook

An upper-level ridge will move overhead today and will drive high pressure off the Southeast Coast, pumping unseasonably warm air over the region for at least the first half of the week. Meanwhile, a slow-moving cold front will approach the region from the west on Tuesday. Moisture along the front will be very high, leading to widespread and potentially heavy rain for Wednesday and Thursday as the front moves through. Severe weather is possible Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon. Drier and colder air will return Friday behind the cold front.
