Jonathan Lopez, Political Candidate, Joins Hate Hoax List

One of the many privileges enjoyed by Persons of Color is that if their ambitions are not getting enough traction, they can promote themselves by pretending to be victimized by hate. The downside is that, as Jussie Smollett and Bubba Wallace can tell you, hoaxes are sometimes revealed, unmasking the perpetrator as a contemptible fraud. Today’s case in point is Oregon’s Jonathan Lopez, a candidate for Umatilla County Commissioner.

[Hermiston Police] Chief Jason Edmiston tells KEPR-TV News that the criminal investigation for second-degree intimidation due to the racist, hate-filled letter received by Jonathan Lopez on June 23 has been closed. The matter will be referred this week to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office for initiating a false report – a Class A misdemeanor in Oregon.

Edmiston says the investigation has shown that Jonathan Lopez wrote the letter himself and made false statements to the police and on social media. The end result is a verbal and written admission by Lopez that the letter was fabricated.

If only all hate hoaxes could end with such a definitive debunking. Most of them cannot be added to the Hate Hoax List, because although there is a 99.9% chance it is a hoax, you don’t know for sure.

In one line from the letter, the author said, “Don’t waste your time trying to become anything in this county we will make sure you never win and your family suffers along with all the other (expletive) Mexicans in the area!” The letter ends by stating, “Sincerely, America!”

A hateful, racist place, that America.

Don’t be too hard on Lopez. After all,

Lopez told the East Oregonian that he “never meant to mislead” and intended to talk with Edmiston about racism, with the letter as an example.

It’s an example, all right — an example of the phoniness of the liberal establishment’s racist oppression narrative.

“I never meant to file a report, it just kind of spiraled out,” Lopez said, according to the East Oregonian.

Cultural Marxist moonbattery has been spiraling out throughout the country. That’s what happens when lies are allowed to take on a life of their own.
