Be Prepared For A Disaster

I just mailed in my ballot.  Voted for Trump-Pence, Cornyn and Babin.  But a Trump victory does not appear to be in the stars

For starters, Harris County voters will go heavily for the Democrats.  The only Republicans that will win in the county are those that represent solid Republican districts.

Even Texas, which hasn’t voted for a Democratic president in 44 years, is in doubt for Trump.  Like Harris County, Bexar County and Travis County will go heavily for the Democrats.  The DFW metroplex will be the key because half the state’s voters reside in the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth areas.

Nationwide things do not look good for Trump either.

Even before he took office, the Hillary-loving media went after Trump with a purple passion and it has continued to attack and misrepresent the president on a daily basis.  Trump has been painted as a racist who has refused to condemn white supremacists.

Although Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her two children are Orthodox Jews, Trump has been painted as anti-Semitic.  Never mind that he has been the friendliest president toward Israel since Harry Truman.  80 percent of America’s Jews are liberals who would vote for Vlad the Impaler before they would vote for a Republican president.  Following the Trump-Biden debate, they have gone so far as to compare Trump to Adolph Hitler because he did not condemn white supremacists in the clearest of terms.

The Goebbels Principle is at work here.  There has been so much maliciousness in the Trump-hating media that people are bound to have come to believe it.

The younger college educated voters will turnout for Biden because they were indoctrinated to favor socialism by their leftist professors.  I have a close friend who is a diehard Trump supporter, but his kids are voting for Biden.  My sister is a bedrock Republican who has worked in the campaigns of GOP candidates, but her kids are voting for Biden.

The debate did not turn out well for Trump.  He had to battle the moderator as well as Biden.  But worst of all, he was ill prepared.  All he could do was to constantly interrupt Biden.  Although Biden did not do well either, Trump came out looking like a rude bully.  But Biden proved he was neither sleepy nor senile.

The COVID-19 pandemic has really hurt Trump, and by that I don’t mean his catching the virus. His handling of the pandemic has been a train wreck.   He has downplayed the seriousness of the virus for political purposes and he has all but encouraged people not to wear masks.  And at times Trump contradicted the pronouncements of health experts with those of conspiracy theorists.  On Tuesday he continued to downplay the seriousness of COVID-19 by comparing the virus to the flu.

When he returned to the White House from Walter Reed Hospital, the ‘macho man’ overjoyed the Trump-hating media by taking off his mask, thereby setting a bad example.  And his statement from the balcony – “As your leader I had to do that. I stood out front. I led. I know there’s a risk, a danger, but that’s OK” – was laughable.

There is not going to be a ‘October surprise’ to help Trump.  The Chinese who are hoping for a Biden victory are not going to rock the boat.  The Iranians who are also pulling for Biden are not going to attack our warships in the Persian Gulf or any of our military installations in the Middle East.  And the COVID-19 pandemic is not going to magically disappear in the next few days.

There are just not enough diehard Trump supporters to get him reelected.

We can only hope the Democrats will not gain control of the Senate.  That coupled with a Biden victory would be disastrous for our nation.  It would mean a sharp turn to the left.  Just look at AOC – every candidate she has backed has won.

A Biden-Harris administration will raise taxes to pay for social programs that include aid to illegal immigrants, force schools to use the ‘1619 Project’, restore Obama’s anti-business policies, rejoin the Paris Accords and the Iran nuclear deal, appease our foreign adversaries and favor the Palestinians, embrace the Marxist-led BLM movement and continue the war on the police, cuddle criminals, and severely restrict our Second Amendment rights, including a ban on the possession of assault rifles.

I know my detractors will react to this post by once again accusing me of being a never-Trumper.  But they better be prepared for the disaster of a White Obama presidency.
