Why would polling places give voters felt tip markers instead of pens?
One reason I can think of would be if the markers contained disappearing ink, a felt tip wouldn’t dent the paper the way a ball point would, so the marks would disappear without a trace.
It bled through to the options on the other side and made them illegitimate.
