A ridge of high pressure will continue building across the region into early next week leading to dry conditions and hot temperatures. Near record highs are possible by the middle of the week. On Thursday and Friday, a cold front will sink southward from the Ohio Valley, which could increase shower and thunderstorm chances late in the week. American Recovery Plan: NC Gov.
