Democrats Losing on Voter ID as Poll Finds Huge Support for ID Requirements

The Democrats are on the losing side of the voter ID issue as a new poll finds that a majority of Americans support voter ID requirements.

The Democrats are still on the losing side of the voter ID issue as a new poll finds that a huge majority of Americans support voter ID requirements.

The new poll released by Honest Elections Project found 81 percent of the voters surveyed support requiring an ID to be able to cast a ballot.

In fact, despite the left’s drumbeat that voter ID laws are “racist,” the number that supports voter ID actually went up. The number rose 4 percentage points from March to July, and even increased by 13 among Blacks.

The survey was taken among 1,200 registered voters between July 8 to the 17th. It has a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
Democrats have spent more than a decade trying to fool the country into thinking that requiring Americans to show a legal ID to vote is somehow “racist.” It is a “left over” from the days of “Jim Crow,” they say.

This is all nonsense.

Democrats even claim that the voter ID laws that do exist are examples of “voter suppression.”

And that is a flat out lie because even the left-wing Brookings Institute has found that blacks have a higher turnout rate than other minorities and at times — in 2012 and 2016 — had a higher voting rate than whites. Also, black voting has risen with every election since 1990, well before voter ID laws began.

With their own arguments they have been patently racist themselves. Arguing that blacks are too stupid to know where to get an ID is a pretty racist assumption, after all.

Still, the left has pumped up lying losers such as former leftist Georgia candidate for Governor Stacey Abrams who to this day insists that she did not lose the 2018 election despite losing by more than 50,000 legal votes.
