OUTLOOK

Dry and warming high pressure remains over our area through today. Low pressure moves east from the Gulf across Florida on Tuesday while increasing our clouds a bit. A dry and colder Canadian high settles across the region from Wednesday through the end of the week.

The smoke and fine particulate pollution from several fires in Arkansas, Louisiana, and eastern Texas should begin impacing our air quality over the next few days. North Carolina is under a Code Yellow Air Quality Alet. Unusually sensitive people should consider limiting prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors and outdoor burning should be limited in order to avoid harming those with breathing issues.
