FreedomWorks Names Member and Bill of the Month for March 2022

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week FreedomWorks announced Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) as our featured Member of the Month and Senator Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) Read the Bills Resolution (S. Res. 20) as our Bill of the Month for March 2022.

On his selection as FreedomWorks’ Member of the Month, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) commented:

On selection of his Read the Bills Resolution as FreedomWorks’ Bill of the Month, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky. commented):

“I appreciate FreedomWorks’ recognition of my efforts to ensure Congress has adequate time to read the bills, and it is especially timely given that the recent 2741-page omnibus with a $1.5 trillion price tag was released in the dead of the night and voted on the very next day. My resolution would require legislation to be filed for 1 day for every 20 pages before it could be considered, which would have allowed 137 days to find out exactly what kind of wasteful spending was in the omnibus bill.”
