GENERAL OUTLOOK
A hot subtropical ridge of high pressure will remain over the region through the week, while a frontal boundary remains stalled to our north. Seasonably hot and muggy conditions will continue along with good chances for showers and thunderstorms each afternoon, causing torrential downpours at times. The best chances for rain will be over the mountains. Somewhat cooler temperatures but more widespread rainfall are expected this weekend with the arrival of the front.
