I’ve known for 30 years that the FBI was slipping from being America’s premier law enforcement agency into a politically motivated organization. I had a friend who had worked for the FBI for 17 years, in the financial crimes division. He told me he left the agency because it had become very difficult to do the job he hired on to do. Senior agents would pick and choose who would be investigated and prosecuted, and whose crimes would be ignored. It was never more obvious than with Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation. There was also a story about the agency employing an army of “confidential informants”, more commonly known as “snitches.” There were reportedly 17,000 of these CI’s, mostly people facing conviction for some crime, and who were offered big money and dropping of their charges in turn for their trapping other criminals. The Fibbies also began collaborating with the Southern Poverty Law Center, who would publicly condemn the intended target in all available news outlets. Before the trap was sprung, the SPLC would arrive in town and spread negative propaganda. Accusing the target of racism, tax evasion, anti-American activities, and even terrorism, to taint any possible jury should the target opt to go to trial. They even coined a new term, “paper terrorists.” In one case, that I am intimately acquainted with, the CI’s were living the life of Riley, nice cars, boats, fancy offices, and lots of pocket money to spend. They were being paid to create crime where there was none in order for the FBI to make arrests, and to keep the prisons full because federal judges, prosecutors, etc. are heavily invested in the correction system.l
