Scattered thunderstorms will be possible across the mountains this morning through early this afternoon. The best coverage will be along the northern Blue Ridge mountains midday. Cloud-to-ground lightning strikes and locally heavy rainfall will be the main threats with any thunderstorms.
Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop along a passing cold front on Monday. The additional rainfall could worsen any lingering flood problems, or create new flooding, through Monday evening.
