In 2006, Donald Trump installed an 80 ft tall, 375 square ft US flag on his Mar-a-lago property in Florida. When his fine amount reached $120,000, Trump proposed a solution. They came to an agreement that they will waive part of the fine and Trump will donate $100,000 to war veteran and hospital organizations. He agreed to remove his 80 ft flag pole and they would allow him to install a 70 ft one farther inland on the front lawn of his estate. But before he installed the new flag, he had dump trucks come in and make a new burm, 20 ft taller than it was before, AND THEN he installed the 70ft flag pole! Today the flag is a local landmark.
