Palestinian Prime Minister: ‘We do not need to give proof of us being the original owners of the land’

Because facts are hate speech. And evidence is the enemy.

The Palestinian Arabs repeatedly attempt to deny the Jews their history in the land of Israel. Details on this effort can be found here:

“[PA] Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said in a speech he gave on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas…: ‘The struggle, which was created with the start of the colonialism, is not just over the history of Palestine, but also over the history of the Palestinians in Palestine, the people, and the land, because Israel, which has claimed that Palestine is the promised land, comes and says that this is disputed land. The occupation has utilized all the forms of oppression, and implemented a racist policy against our people, particularly against our people in Jerusalem. They have treated them as if they are [only] staying there and not native residents.’

We know all about the birth of the “Palestinians.” The “Palestinian people” were never mentioned in world history until the mid-1960s, when the phrase first appeared, fewer than a dozen times before June 1967. But after the Six-Day war, suddenly the “Palestinian people” were on the lips of every Arab propagandist. The Palestinian Zuheir Mohsen, leader of the terror group As Saiqa, explained in a moment of candor to an interviewer in 1970 that “The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons.”

With Israel’s spectacular victory over the armies of three Arab states, it was clear to the Arabs that before attempting to again assault Israel militarily, it made sense to engage in a propaganda campaign that would force Israel to be squeezed back within the 1949 armistice lines. And that is why the “Palestinian people” were born.

The prime minister added: ‘We do not need to give proof of us being the original owners of the land, but we are taking action to clarify the truth, so that others will not be deceived by the Zionist lie.’ …Israel is a colonialist and settler entity that is settling [settlers]… Shtayyeh noted: ‘The content of the [Palestinian] declaration of independence… confirms that the land of Palestine is the land of the divine messengers, [and that] the Palestinian Arab people was born, blossomed, and developed [in it] (sic.)… This means that the Palestinian Arab people has been in this land since the period of its Canaanite ancestors (sic., the Palestinians have no connection to the Canaanites).This people has dealt with all the invasions and all the colonialist periods, that last of which began with the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) of Palestine in 1948.’”

Shtayyeh insists that “we [the Palestinians] don’t need to give “proof” of “being the original owners of the land.” He’s quite wrong. Of course he must. And so far, neither he, nor any other Palestinian, has presented a shred of evidence that Muslim Arabs were those “original owners” of the land. Where are the thousands of “Palestinian” archeological sites, and the tens of thousands of artifacts — pottery, coins, oil lamps, knives, utensils, keys to doors, tools — that would prove that they had been the original inhabitants of what the Jews call the Land of Israel? There are none. There is no evidence of Muslim Arabs, or any Arabs, in the Land of Israel (a.k.a. Palestine) existing in the area before the seventh century which is when, after all, Islam itself was invented.

But this does not stop the Palestinians from continuing to deny the proof that Israeli archeologists have provided in such abundance.

Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine and PA President Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash [said that] in 100 years of excavations and archaeological research in the entire land of Palestine, they have not succeeded in finding one [piece of] evidence proving that the occupiers have a right to this land (sic., an abundance of evidence proves Jewish history in Israel); on the contrary, it has been proven that the continuous truth in this land is the Palestinian people, whose Canaanite ancestors lived in it more than 5,000 years ago, and which has continued to live in it without a break until this very day… He noted that this land is ours, and that despite all the lies and falsifications that colonialism has fabricated to steal Palestine, it will not succeed in erasing the truth, as true history is not like invented history, and the truth is not defeated by illusions and fables, regardless of how much time passes. He also said that this occupation will pass sooner or later.”

Mahmoud Al-Habbash wants to convince the world that the thousands of Jewish archeological sites, including synagogues, mikvehs, and artifacts of every kind, some dating back even before 2000 B.C., simply do not exist: “they have not succeeded in finding one [piece of] evidence proving that the occupiers have a right to this land.” An absurdity, a flat out lie, that ignores nearly a century of archeological digs throughout the land. But minds on Islam are ready to believe such stuff. And they assume others will be just as credulous.
