In 1776 as Benjamin Franklin came out of the Convention Hall in Philadelphia he was asked by Elizabeth Willing Powel, a very well politically connected influential lady in Philadelphia, ”Well Doctor, what have we got, a Republic or a Monarchy.”

His response “ A Republic if you can keep it ”.

The Vision and Dream of America’s Founding Fathers was to create a uniquely revolutionary New Form of Government that provides Freedom and Liberty for all of its Citizens and Protection from Governments’ Tyranny.

Sadly, these very rich and influential men, yes some of them were slave owners, fought for the total freedom for all Americans from the British Crown and put all their riches, their own LIVES and LIVES of their families on the line, by signing America’s 1776 Declaration…
