24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Verse 21 one of you shall betray me.
Shall is a command to do something. Definition of shall.

Verse 22 each disciple is asking if they are the one to do it? (Lord. Is it I?)
Verse 24 he says it’s prophecy to be betrayed (The Son of man goeth as it is written of him)
He also mentions the burden that will be on the man who does it. The 12 know but the masses outside of their supper do not know.
Verse 25 Judas asked if it was him and was told (Thou hast said.) so the answer is yeah, you are the Chosen One.

That’s a heavy burden to carry as a secret that you were commanded to do a thing but you can’t tell anyone outside of the 11 disciples and the one commanding you.
But let’s see. Jesus knew before that day and so did the 12 disciples. The supper was no surprise, the surprise is who was going to be chosen. Their sorrow was due to this was the last time they’d all be together at supper, not at the betrayal. They all knew a betrayal was in their future.

There is that “chosen” word. The 12 were chosen, Judas was chosen.
You follow a goat with a bell straight into hell. What folks in that last supper was eating flesh and drinking blood. Catholics do that ritual all the time and get mad that satanists do it too, literally.
