Antony Blinken Pushes Us Closer to World War III

Sometimes the more conspicuously weak people are, the more likely they are to rattle sabers, so long as they think only other people’s blood will be spilled. Watch in horror as the damp-eyed and gelatinous Antony Blinken all but declares war on the country with the world’s largest arsenal of nuclear weapons:

These seven words could launch Armageddon: “Ukraine will become a member of NATO.”

For context, Russia might never have invaded Ukraine if not for fear that it would joint NATO. It wants a buffer zone between itself and a Western Europe that is as hostile toward it as ever. Anyone unclear as to why this would be a priority for Russian leadership is referred to the exploits of Napoleon and Hitler. Russia defeated both of them, but only at tremendous cost.

No wise person would want an unstable Russia, particularly after Germany created the monstrous USSR by deliberately destabilizing it during World War I. Nor would a wise person corner a dangerous animal. But wisdom does not characterize our liberal rulers. They live in an echo chamber that insulates them from awareness of the real-world consequences of their policies.

Demonization of Putin has served domestic political purposes for Democrats. The echo chamber has allowed it to feed on itself, creating hysteria.

Once Ukraine is in NATO, regional disputes between it and Russia will automatically escalate into WWIII. Belligerently declaring the intention to bring Ukraine into NATO could have the same effect.

France is already pushing for NATO boots on the ground, no doubt assuming that American troops would do most of the fighting. But in a nuclear war, there won’t be any fighting — only death and destruction.
