Hot and humid high pressure will remain across the region through the week. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will slowly increase through the Labor Day holiday. Temperatures will remain above normal through the weekend falling to below normal by Tuesday as a cold front moves south of the area and cooler high pressure builds in from the north.
