PM Netanyahu Lashes Out at Jihadi Mamdani

PM Netanyahu lashes out at Mamdani for alleging Israeli genocide against Palestinians and saying there shouldn’t be “a Jewish State.”

Take this turd to task.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired back at New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, calling his assertions “absurd”.
Netanyahu’s comments came in response to Mamdani’s ongoing accusations that Israel’s actions in Gaza amount to genocide and his public refusal to explicitly support Israel’s right to exist as an explicitly Jewish state.

In a CNN interview, Netanyahu defended Israel’s right to exist, pointing out that it is the only democracy in the Middle East with a diverse population including Arab and Muslim citizens. He dismissed Mamdani’s criticisms as unfounded.

Mayor Mamdani has routinely condemned the Israeli military’s actions in Gaza, labeling them a “genocidal war”.

Netanyahu attacks Mamdani for stance on Israel: ‘It’s absurd’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday went after New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) for saying he couldn’t support Israel because the country “privileges” Jewish citizens over those of other religions.

“He conveniently forgets that the only democracy in the Middle East is Israel. Twenty percent of our citizens are in fact Muslims. … but they sit on the Supreme Court. They’re in the Knesset, our parliament. They share every walk of life,” Netanyahu told host Dana Bash on CNN’s “Inside Politics.”

“I think any state that privileges one religion over the other is one that I can’t tell you I support, whether it be Israel or Saudi Arabia or anywhere else,” Mamdani, who is Muslim, told Jonathan Karl on ABC News’s “This Week.”

As of 2020, Jews made up 77 percent of Israeli society, according to the Pew Research Center. Muslims accounted for 14.7 percent, while Christians made up 1.9 percent.

Netanyahu defended his country on Tuesday, saying it is “the only place in the Middle East” that has the “equality” the New York City mayor referenced.

“His supporters have supported Hamas, these people who murder people, who beheaded our men, who raped our women, and then murdered them, burned babies alive and so on,” Netanyahu said.
