KTLA reports on the multiple street takeovers that happened Saturday night:
[V]ideo shows fireworks exploding and a fire being set on the street at the takeover that took place on the border of Wilmington and Carson. …
Aerial footage from the takeover at Manchester and San Pedro shows a car doing a burnout and seemingly losing control, nearly colliding with multiple onlookers. Seconds later, fireworks went off as other cars drove into the intersection and started doing donuts.
The punks tried to set a car on fire.
Meanwhile, on the border of Manhattan Beach and El Segundo,
Some participants stood in the middle of a circle of fire as a pair of cars did burnouts around them and other onlookers shined lasers and flashing lights, according to cellphone footage.
Unsurprisingly, the absence of public order is getting people hurt:
[G]unfire erupted near the takeover, which was said to have been taking place at the intersection of Compton Avenue and Imperial Highway, around 5:16 a.m.
A gunshot victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
It was not clear whether any arrests were made in relation to the shooting — or any of the other street takeovers.
Meanwhile, “teens” were also at play in Brandon Johnson’s Chicago.
