Events took on a comedic angle when the victim attempted to use her attacker’s shoestrings to tie her feet together.

The attack comes on the heels of a woman being shot and killed by police in Times Square after she stabbed two strangers in a random attack and then refused orders to drop two knives — the woman died along with one of her victims, an executive with Bank of America.
The mayhem does not occur in a vacuum — actually, it does: a vacuum of responsible governance:
It’s hard to see such blatant crime and not recall criminal-friendly policies embraced by left-wing Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Both effectively ran on a platform of representing criminals against their victims. The resulting atmosphere of anything-goes anarchy was predictable.
