Catholic Charities, Lutheran Social Services were paid $62 million in gov grants to resettle thousands of Somalis in Minnesota: report

Parker Thayer quoted in The Post Millennial

October 16, 2026

Parker Thayer, an immigration expert at the Capital Research Center in Washington, DC, told the outlet, “This is a very big pile of government money and a whole bunch of different groups have come to get their own slice of it.”

Thayer said that the money flowing into immigration programs in Minneapolis is “in the hundreds of millions.” Since 2021, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops has been given over $140 million in federal resettlement contracts, Thayer said. The US Conference of Catholic Bishops oversees Catholic Charities.

“It is hurting the ability of these organizations to fundraise in arguably more important areas of their work. I imagine a lot of donors are being pushed away by something that is very reasonably viewed as highly controversial by a lot of people,” he added.

Progressive ‘Christian’ groups earned $62M to settle Muslim Somalians in Minnesota

Parker Thayer quoted in Breitbart

October 16, 2026

“They picked Minnesota because it had extremely generous state social safety net policies and welfare programs, which of course made resettling refugees there easier,” Capital Research Center researcher Parker Thayer told the paper.

Thayer also blasted these purported charities for causing societal problems in the U.S., adding, “They’re creating multiple problems by resettling large numbers of people in one area at the same time they’re creating isolated ethnic enclaves across America, which seem to be causing some cultural problems.”

Two Christian groups were paid $62M to resettle tens of thousands of Somalis in Minnesota

Parker Thayer quoted in The New York Post

October 16, 2026

“It is hurting the ability of these organizations to fundraise in arguably more important areas of their work. I imagine a lot of donors are being pushed away by something that is very reasonably viewed as highly controversial by a lot of people,” Thayer said.

“A lot of these people, while claiming to be refugees, you look at their Facebook pages, or you look at indictments and find that they routinely travel out of the US back to the place they are supposedly a refugee from,” he added.

“They’re creating multiple problems by resettling large numbers of people in one area at the same time they’re creating isolated ethnic enclaves across America, which seem to be causing some cultural problems,” Thayer said.

Abdul el Sayed’s Red-Green suicide pact: Islamists always hang their leftist allies first

Sean Durns’ op-ed in The Washington Examiner

October 19, 2026

Politics, it is often said, can make for strange bedfellows. There is perhaps no stranger alliance today than that of progressives and Islamists. And history tells us that few are more fateful.

In one 2012 tweet, Abdelhadi said: “My family has long been MB [Muslim Brotherhood].” When Mohammad Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood member who was briefly the president of Egypt, was deposed in a 2013 coup, Abdelhadi said: “Praying for all my family that support the #MB in #Egypt. Lie low, stay safe.”

“Mass movements can rise and spread without belief in a God,” the philosopher Eric Hoffer warned eight decades ago, “but never without a belief in a devil.” The red and the green agree on who the devil is.

Why America can’t afford to underestimate Iran’s favorite proxy

Sean Durns’ opinion piece in The Daily Wire

October 19, 2026

When Henry Kissinger observed in 2006 that the Islamic Republic of Iran must choose “whether it wants to be a nation or a cause,” he anticipated a geopolitical crossroads that has culminated in today’s reshaped Middle East. Two decades later, as devastating Western and Israeli military campaigns have severely degraded Tehran’s premier frontline terror proxies — Hezbollah, Hamas, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad — the Iranian regime has aggressively pivoted to its most resilient asymmetrical asset: the Houthi movement in Yemen.

Recent events show that we should not underestimate the formidable Houthis. They have posed an intractable problem for years, since emerging in the early 1990s as a revivalist movement of Shi’ite Zaydi Muslims.

Iran has turned to the Houthis out of necessity, but also because the terror group’s rise has been unmistakable. Simply put: the Houthis are harder to target and kill, and they have long benefited from being underestimated.

EXCLUSIVE: Crypto billionaire’s solar PAC rewrites attack ad after Trump-backed Republican threatens lawsuit

Ken Braun mentioned in The Daily Caller

October 20, 2026

The Podesta Group registered to lobby for the coalition in December 2011 on “regulatory action regarding photovoltaic cells,” and listed Trina Solar of Changzhou, China, as a contributor to the effort, according to the firm’s Senate lobbying registration.

“The ‘Invest in Tomorrow Coalition’ should probably be renamed the ‘Invest in Xi Jinping Coalition,’” Ken Braun, a senior investigative researcher at the Capital Research Center, said in a statement to the DCNF.

“Republicans are hardly pure on the issue of subsidies for weather dependent power. But in this case they should wear the scorn of this PAC as a badge of honor,” Braun added.

The France riots aren’t a student revolt — they’re supported by CCP-tied dark money

Sean Durns’ op-ed in The Washington Examiner

October 23, 2026

Riots in France have not only taken a turn for the worse, but they’ve also spread to other countries. But the violence on European streets isn’t organic. Rather, it’s the latest example of the Marxist Left exporting chaos abroad.

Clearly, the intent is to spread the chaos and havoc in France to the rest of Europe and beyond. Riots have already erupted in Belgium, Spain, Italy, and Albania.

Mass riots don’t spread like wildfire across countries without fuel. This isn’t organic. It’s a contagion. And it’s not without precedent. In fact, exploiting divisions is a long-standing tactic of the Marxist Left.
