Nearly Half of Surveyed Seattle Business Leaders Have Considered Getting Out
Unlike maniac US Senate candidate Angie Nixon, Katie Wilson admits she is a socialist. Wilson has been Mayor of Seattle for nearly a year now. The 2026 business climate survey by the Seattle Metro Chamber and Downtown Seattle Association provides insight into how well she has managed the Emerald City.
Via My Northwest:
The survey asked businesses whether Seattle’s business climate has improved over the past 12 months.
An overwhelming 56% of respondents believe it has worsened, compared to just 12% that feel it has improved. Looking ahead to the future, 61% of respondents are pessimistic about Seattle as a place to operate, grow, or invest over the next 12 months, while just 23% are optimistic.
Major complaints include safety, taxes, fees, and labor costs.
Overall, 47% of all business owners surveyed by the Seattle Metro Chamber have “seriously considered” moving operations, jobs, or investment out of Seattle in the past 12 months.
You can see why socialists need to secure power at the national level. Otherwise, wealth creators will be able to escape before they have been looted out of existence. Then again, if James Talarico prevails in Texas after calling for capitalism to be dismantled, it will indicate that fleeing from one state to another only grants a temporary reprieve.
