Kirby is calling for a national wealth tax and inheritance taxes approaching 100% for certain estates, arguing that growing wealth inequality poses a threat to American society.
The hypocrisy is astonishing:
Kirby, who took home about $32.3 million in total compensation in fiscal year 2025, made the remarks when asked about declining public trust in corporate executives during an interview with The New York Times.
Now why would the public distrust corporate executives? It’s not as if any of them are posturing fools eager to pander to malevolent lunacy.
Kirby’s proposed looting spree would target not only income but assets, resulting in economic devastation. He wants to make it federal, so that wealth creators cannot escape to other states. Instead they would be forced to escape to other countries.
