It’s AIPAC Day in America!!!

Do we have an American Canada Public Affairs Committee? Do we have an American Ireland Public Affairs Committee? An American Guam one? Nope.

But we do have American Israel Public Affairs Committee, known as AIPAC, and today all our presidential candidates save one are rushing over to D.C. to attend their annual conference to swear fealty and their undying love to and for everything Israel.

It has been rumored that Hillary Clinton has been missing from the campaign trail these past few days because she was crawling on her knees to the conference all the way from New York in order to prove her loyalty. That’s just a rumor, of course.

Hillary will be talking to the conference this morning while the three republican candidates, Kasich, Trump and Cruz, will address the powerful lobby this evening. Bernie Sanders has politely declined his invitation to attend. He sent them his scripted remarks that he would have given, had his schedule allowed him to make the trip. A group of rabbis intend to walk out on The Donald as soon as he starts his speech. I seriously doubt any Trump supports will punch them on the way out of the venue.

There are a number of protesters outside the AIPAC conference, protesting Israeli policies and the illegal occupation of Palestine.

The conference has invited a number of notable hate-mongers to speak to their audience. It should be a fun-filled uplifting day of IsraelFirst celebrations.

The Donald, it is said, is planning a Big Surprise with his speech this evening. You know what he’s going to do? Well first, he’s not going to be giving the speech off the cuff like he has all his stump speeches. They have been writing this one for him for the past few days. Then, he’s going to talk to the audience like they have some common sense and an education.

He’s also looking to surprise the crowd with something else: substance…

The speech, prepared over the last week and finalized last week, will “outline his depth of knowledge about the U.S.-Israel relationship and his 30 years of supporting Israeli causes,” the source continued. Politico

Should be interesting to see the other, non-caricature Trump giving a talk for once. See what the difference is.

Don’t expect these subjects to be brought up by any of the candidates:

• Operation Cast Lead
• Operation Pillar of Defense
• Operation Protective Edge

I have no idea how the various speeches will go today. I don’t really care. It’s all more of the same to me. Just know, it’s AIPAC Day in America folks. So go outside, fly your Israeli flag with pride and slap some gefilte fish down on the barbie while breaking open your finest bottle of Manischewitz.
