Manafort surrenders: Trump campaign’s ex-chief hands himself in to FBI
by Scott Creighton
The indictment filed by Robert Mueller charges three people ( former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Manafort’s former business associate Rick Gates and Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos) with a number of crimes none of which involve Russia or “collusion”
The allegations center on undisclosed criminal lobbying activity (for the former president of Ukraine whom we overthrew with a color revolution because he wanted to strengthen ties with Russia) that took place between 2006 and 2016. Manafort was only on Trump’s staff for a total of 3 months.
You can read the 31-page indictment here.
Interestingly enough also mentioned in the indictment is the Podesta Group. That’s Tony Podesta’s high-powered D.C. lobbying firm. They were also contracted to help lobby on behalf of the former president of Ukraine. Tony Podesta is John Podesta’s brother and John was the head of the Clinton campaign in 2016. Tony has recently resigned from his own company… blaming Tucker Carlson and Fox News.
Paul Manafort and Rick Gates have turned themselves in at a local FBI office in D.C.
