Trump’s Beastly Beatitudes Kill the Joy of Christmas in the Birthplace of Christ

All across the modern world and in places from one corner of the Middle East to another, there are protests developing against President Trump’s announcement that he will begin to take steps to move the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in spite of the fact that he’s been told by pretty much everyone on the planet who isn’t wearing a yarmulkes that it’s a really bad idea.

Even the birthplace of the Beatitudes has felt the chilling effect of Trump’s pandering proclamation. It’s like a war on joy in this most progressive of our holidays. A war they will not win.

Meanwhile the brave Israelis Jews are doing what they do best… ganging up on unarmed Palestinian children.

Another thing the brave Jewish soldiers are doing is dressing up like Palestinian protesters so they can infiltrate protests and figure out who is the leader of them in order to snatch em up and disappear them into the Israeli prison system. As soon as they are ready and have picked out a target or two, the set off a stun grenade, fire their guns in the air scaring off the unarmed Palestinians and then call in their brave Jewish buddies in the IDF for a rescue.

Here’s a photo of one of those armed brave Jews pretending to be an unarmed Palestinian Muslim. Gee, I wonder if they’ve ever done anything like that before.

Internationally they are getting their friends in high places to push for anti-antisemitism laws to shut down protests against the embassy move while doing their level best to blame it on “da ebil Moooslims”. Let’s take Sweden for example:

“Prime Minister Stefan Lofven of Sweden told reporters in Paris on Tuesday that his country had a problem with anti-Semitism, the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet reported.

“We must be very clear that this anti-Semitism and hatred of Jews has no place in our society,” Mr. Lofven said at a news conference in conjunction with a climate conference in Paris. “Absolutely no room at all.”

His comments followed a string of anti-Semitic episodes in Gothenburg and Malmo, Sweden’s second- and third-largest cities…

Mr. Lofven on Monday told the newspaper Aftonbladet that Jews were under assault from both the extreme right and the far left. He also expressed concern about what he said was rising anti-Semitism among immigrants from the Middle East…

Mr. Lofven said that the government had allocated more money to schools for trips to Auschwitz and that stiffer punishments for anti-Semitism might be needed…

Those who attack Jews or engage in hate speech will be brought to justice, he said.” New York Times

Apparently two fire bombs were thrown near a synagogue and some graves were desecrated in the process. Almost sounds like that rash of anti-semitism we had here back in the states not that long ago doesn’t it? You know… the anti-semitism that was being run and conducted by Jewish people? Remember that? I do.

Using the influx of migrants in Sweden as cover, their Prime Minister is pushing for tougher anti-antisemitism laws targeting not just migrants… but the entire population. You know.. the “extreme” right and left in the country who just might support Palestinians rights because they’ve been “radicalized”? That kind of thing.

Sending more kids to be brainwashed at Auschwitz and increasing punishments for folks sharing “antisemetic” info on the web certainly doesn’t sound like a good idea to me. But you know, I’m not the only “alternative” “independent” journalist working out here, now am I?

“Anyone who has spoken up in the cause of saving Swedish culture has been branded as a Nazi and a Racist…. until now it seems. They finally had to admit to the problem when it was Jewish Swedes that couldn’t take it anymore. Thank you Jews of Sweden. And by the way, that bastion of the left, the Gay community of Sweden, is now starting to join the “alt right” because they are tired of being beaten up by people who came from countries where they would just be thrown off of the roofs of buildings. And NO. I am not talking about all Islamic people. (long sentence alert) I am talking about what happens when you indiscriminately take on way more people than can assimilate, to the point where you cannot discriminate between the ones who will import Rape Culture or Anti-Semitic Culture versus the ones who want to assimilate into Swedish society by bringing the beautiful aspects of their native cultures and leaving the disgusting ones behind” Tom

That was sent to me by someone who included with it a link to a Breitbart article which was glowing in it’s praise of Sweden for pushing this new free-speech killing agenda. Tom also sent another email the same declaring his desire to team up with Trump to right the fiscal wrongs done by the “swamp” to us lower-class Americans… in spite of the fact that Trump is doing everything he can… as fast as he can to make it all worse… including a trickle-down tax bill and the killing off of net neutrality protections… now he’s going after Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

“I would have preferred that an authentic progressive picked up this cause but they’ve been targeted for extinction, therefore I’ll take Trump if that is the only option…BRAVO! I am lighting candles for my friends to finally get over the phony right left paradigm on this and join the party.” Tom

With that email came yet another link to yet another Breitbart article.

Buried not so deep in his emails was a clue as to why this guy was seemingly making a major 180 deg turn in terms of his online footprint:

For the whole of the ten years I’ve been producing my work on this website I have repeatedly pointed out that the neoliberalization of America would be coupled eventually with an all out attack on the REAL left… the progressive left. I write that and have said that over and over again based on extensive research into the history of the neoliberalizations of other nations that we did over the previous few decades. They ALWAYS go after the left. Sometime brutally. Sometimes subtly. But they always do it because the REAL left is diametrically opposed to the economics of neoliberalism which is of course the economics of fascism. Corporatism. Fascism. Call it what you will… the results are always the same.

And as you can see here… old Tom seems to have gotten his mind right does it not?

Not only is he ready, willing and able to jump on the fascist Trump Train with the likes of Breitbart and Di$info Jone$, but he also seems to be working to clean up that troubling little history he has of questioning the control Israel has on our political structure and that of other nations as well.

I guess an extinction level event can trigger the fight or flight mechanism in all of us.

Which brings us back to the subject at hand.

Trump’s decision to make some pointless announcement about “starting” the process to “plan” for the move (right before he signed another 6 month extension like every other president has done since ’95) has yet one more holiday casualty to add to it’s growing list: the joy of Christmas in the birthplace of Christ.

Nazareth, the mostly Muslim town in current-day Israel where Christians believe Jesus Christ was raised, canceled all Christmas celebrations this year, saying that President Donald Trump had taken the joy out of the holiday.

The decision by Mayor Ali Salam to cancel festivities was made in protest of Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a move the Muslim mayor, who once compared himself to Trump, found offensive.

“Our identity and faith aren’t up for debate,” Salam said during a press conference Thursday. “The decision [by Trump about Jerusalem] has taken away the joy of the holiday, and we will thus cancel the festivities this year.” Newsweek

What Trump did was instigation. Nothing more, nothing less. Like he did when he called football players “sons of bitches” for silently protesting during the national anthem. How long til Tom’s newest hero makes that illegal you think?

Which will be illegal first: sitting during the glorious national anthem here in the states or saying something derogatory about Israeli policy in Sweden?

Which will apologist Tom praise the Duke of Orange for first I wonder.

When Christian Palestinians living in the birthplace of Christ tell you you’ve sucked the joy right out of Christmas… and the entire world stands opposed to your move… and Israel has to get their friends in high places to shut down protests by “extremists” on the left and the right due to “antisemitism”… you know you’ve really done something fucked up.

Right? Am I missing something here?

I want to make a little comparison if I might. It might seem like a stretch to some… it might seem like it’s painfully obvious to others… but I want to make it just the same.

Trump is far from populist. We have established that repeatedly. He serves other interests. Right?

His pandering to the self-described “Jewish state” kinda reminds me of a biblical character. One who served Roman interests but felt compelled to aqueous to his Jewish constituency. One who gave an order to kill Christ himself. I’m no biblical scholar but I think memory serves halfway well on this one. I did see that Mel Gibson movie by the way. Maybe he got it wrong.

Is it just me? Does no one else see a bit of similarity here?

The Beatitudes have been described this way:

“Beatitude is a possession of all things held to be good,
from which nothing is absent that a good desire may want.
Perhaps the meaning of beatitude may become clearer to us
if it is compared with its opposite.
Now the opposite of beatitude is misery.
Misery means being afflicted unwillingly with painful sufferings.”source

And here they are for future reference. You should copy these because this kind of “progressive” thought isn’t going to be around much longer on Trump’s new version of the internet (“BRAVO!” says Tom):

Yes indeed. They have been “targeted for extinction” haven’t they Tom.

Yes we may be entering a new Dark Ages where the JOY of Christmas is dead… not the COMMERCE mind you… but the JOY. The money changers tables stand firm today but not much else.

We may be entering a new Dark Ages but the pure of heart can rest assured the Beatitudes will survive long after our brief flickers of life have dimmed to ash. His did for 2,000 years and they will endure 2,000 more.

It is said the arc of history is long but it bends toward justice and of that I am absolutely convinced. My faith in it is strong. Perhaps it is my religion.

We real progressives who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be satisfied. If not in this life, the next. We know this to be true. It is part of the joy that can never be stolen, never be trampled, never be made illegal, never be silenced.

It can only be given away… like your self respect.
