What Tucker Carlson Got Right and Wrong During His Expose on Illegal Immigrant Crime
Tucker Carlson misrepresented a new DOJ/Justice Department report on the population of the FEDERAL prison system last night. His breathless reporting on the numbers left viewers thinking the report reflected ALL SERIOUS CRIME in the US, not just that tried in the FEDERAL system which deals with about 10% of serious crimes committed yearly.
It is an important study and illegal immigrants are certainly committing a larger percentage of crime in this country than we have been told over the years but Tucker’s efforts last night will leave many thinking they commit far more of a percentage than they actually do.
Of course, it is impossible to tell because the state system still refuses to inform DOJ/Department of Justice when convicted person is here illegally so the numbers could actually be higher but the fact is, Tucker’s conclusions are invalid because the study only covers about 10% of major crime in the country.
