Dear Mr. Creighton:

Thank you for taking the time to contact The Rutherford Institute. With assaults on our freedoms occurring with alarming frequency, our offices are receiving a great many requests for legal assistance, and we have appreciated your patience as we attempt to respond to these inquiries in a timely manner.

Providing free legal help is, and always has been, a critical part of our mission. Without our help, many of those whose rights have been violated would never get their day in court, and justice would not be served. Still, while we would love to be able to help every person who turns to us in need, limited resources prevent us from doing so.

Unfortunately, after having reviewed the information that you provided, we have determined that we are not in a position at this time to provide you with any legal assistance.  This does not constitute a legal determination that you do not have a valid legal claim or claims. We simply cannot handle all of the requests sent our way, either because of limited staff and resources or the case falling outside our priority areas. That said, if you would like a referral for an attorney in your area, please let us know and we would be happy to provide you with contact information for attorneys in your area.

The Rutherford Institute is working hard to ensure that this country remains a welcome home for liberty. But we can’t do this alone. It will take all of us working together, raising our voices loudly and taking a stand for the things that matter.
