How It's Really Been, and I Wish It Hadn't...

My apologies for disappearing so suddenly a couple days ago, I’m back, more or less, and will do something I very rarely if ever do, reveal details about my personal life. 3 days ago, while napping, I was awakened with a large, aching pain in my chest, something I’d never felt before. Thinking it would just go away I ignored it, stupidly, but remembering I’d had a quadruple bypass surgery in Nov. 2013, when it didn’t go away I went to the hospital, where they promptly admitted me and began a barrage of blood tests and lab work, cat scans, xrays all the fun tests they love so much. The next morning the cardiac doc came in for a little chat, “You had bypass surgery 6 years ago, and you have had a 2nd heart attack now. Don’t press your luck and try for a 3rd.” He said they were going to do a cardiac catheterization to see what was going on. Being 68 years old and ignorant I couldn’t argue the point, and so they did a 2 hour procedure, where they placed one stent to open a blockage and began anti-clot drugs. Earlier today they released me with warnings to come back immediately if pain returned. Sounds like good advice, which I’ll obey, not being that eager to shuffle off this mortal coil just yet. So that’s where I’ve been, todays shot, the minds just too scrambled for blogging, but normal posting will start again tomorrow, as best I can. I know there’s a lot of posts about savoring this Moment, don’t take time for granted, I’ll tell you, it’s true. Buddha said, “The problem is you think you have time.” Maybe you do, but you never know, and I for one won’t take anything for granted, and hope you don’t, either.
